"I have known Carina for 40 years and can attest to the combination of the excellence of her facilitation skills, her character and ethics crucial in supporting her as an excellent support person for the Starseed learning community. As such, Carina has always impressed upon me a strong passion for learning and teaching and her wonderful enthusiasm in encouraging joyful and engaging activities. I recently had the pleasure of attending an all faith event where she led a crowd of nearly 100 individuals into a song supported by the potent sharing of the cultural context and teachings of connection and solidarity across faiths. Carina’s passion, confidence and her ability to engage the group with intelligence, wit as well as compassion was impressive. I find Carina’s enthusiasm both infectious and inspiring and her earnest passion for meaningful connection, one of her many qualities.
Similarly, I would define Carina’s ethics as excellent and congruent for working with children. I strongly believe that her natural ability and love for play as well as her level of engagement and response-ability with friends, colleagues and in her community as well as with her own son Sacha-Michael are some of the nuggets of experience which, in my opinion help make her into an exceptional human being. Indeed, Carina’s ability to empathize while having joy, safety and trust present are foundation skills supporting her personal ethics. Carina has always been a respectful and deeply caring person. These qualities I trust along with her strong communication skills, ability to engage students as well as her ability to navigate challenging situations in a respectful, transparent and professional manner will serve her as foundational assets in any endeavor she engages in.
